i am jack's cushy job.

working in the photo lab here at the university is nice. i sit in the little rolly-chair inside the equipment cage, play on the computer, and send imbeciles on their way with a smack to the back of the skull.

tonight is the first sabbat game of the fall, so that should be a crazy-good time.

oh, i took a quiz, and the results weren't surprising.

i am jack's college education.

being at school is a busy thing. i am not very post-happy lately for several reasons.

i hate that college is a revolving door business. students are no longer clients and have been goaded into becoming customers. you pay your money, they hand you your diploma with a plastic mcdonald's-esque smile and send your little worker bee ass out into the world.

with that, i go. but hey, i'm blogging.

i am jack's lucid dream.

i had a really strange dream last night. it was so incredibly clear, and for my dreams, that is very rare. i'm going to attempt to piece it together here as best as i can.

i was with two other people, i'm not sure if they were people i knew, or people my mind had made up. one of them was a female and the other was male.

it started out that we were hanging out with the osbournes. yeah, i know, how cool right? i know that it's quite strange, but hear me out. anyways, ozzy and the fam were leaving so we had to leave. we went and walked through this airplane hangar-like building full of cars. we get in like a sports car type thingy and go off down a dirt road into a cornfield...

the atmosphere gets all horror-filmy at this point. the car breaks down a couple miles down the road. so we start walking down the road and we end up at this playground. there are a bunch of people our age playing on the equipment like they were children. there's a guy with dark eyes and hair quietly watching over them like a supervisor. the playground equipment is all red, and i see shadows of large pitchforks on the ground. i look up to see that the supports of a lot of the equipment are made from large pitchforks. the people playing on the equipment are silent as we walk up with blank looks on their faces until a blonde haired girl on the swing makes eye contact with me. she smiles darkly and whispers, "join us."

there is a whoosh and a sort of jumble of images, and one is of the dark eyed/dark haired supervisor signing a document in blood at a desk lit by candles. he signs the name "Brown DeReuger." i have no idea how i remember it so clearly. and under it he scripted again in a foreign writing which was rune-like and almost hieroglyphic. when the flood of images stopped, i was in the hallway of a school. as i walked down the hall noone seemed to notice me and everyone walked around me as if something in their mind was making them avoid me. finally, a young man looked into my face as i stopped next to him. he simply said, "you're one of them. you can never come back."

and that was the end. i woke up.

it was like i had walked into satan's playground or something..

i am jack's rating system.

i decided that one thing i can do with this blogger is create "friday top 5" lists from time to time.

today's is:
"top five drama movies of all time"

1.) the godfather
a masterpiece of dramatic work. brando wasn't yet fat and old, and pacino was ontop of his game. james caan is excellent, and i've been on the toll road where sonny is gunned down.
2.) lord of the rings: fellowship of the ring
visually, the best film ever created. peter jackson is really onto something here. the assembled cast, composed almost halfway of virtual unknowns shines through in a masterful depicition of the world tolkien created. the sequel will be even more visually stunning from what i have seen..
3.) the godfather: part II
pacino does his best acting in this film. the story is so incredibly dramatic. we're introduced to a young actor who is absolutely wonderful as the young vito corleone: robert deniro
4.) la vita é bella (life is beautiful)
roberto benini's movie about the holocaust. it is a beautiful movie and will make you cry every time you watch it. while so full of despair and dread, the movie is truly hope provoking and makes you feel good inside.
5.) the usual suspects
all i can say is wow. what an incredible group of actors, most specifically kevin spacey and benicio del toro. the writing is very excellent and it gets the 5 spot.

honorable mention: gladiator, requiem for a dream, braveheart, american beauty...

this list was much harder to compile than you think. making things into a top five is a difficult task, and i'm not even sure i'm completely satisfied with it...i could add so many more to honorable mention...

i am jack's love of the romantic poets.

don't worry about the death test.

"The love where Death has set his seal,
Nor age can chill, nor rival steal,
Nor falsehood disavow:
And, what were worse, thou canst not see
Or wrong, or change, or fault in me."

-Lord Byron, excerpted from
"And Thou Art Dead, As Young and Fair"

to keep the "rules to live by" theme that the scary white girl has going, i decided to include this.

rules for living learned at a small town high school:

1. if you are poor, don't try to make friends, because noone wants to be your friend anyway.
2. if you aren't good at p.e., then you are not good at living.
3. if it doesn't involve football, it's not worth caring about.
4. reputations for being a commmunist spread quickly.
5. if you're a girl, and you have some sort of weird fetish...don't tell the pom-pon squad. it might become the "cool" thing to do...
i am jack's throbbing temples.

i awoke today with a headache. i have no clue why, but it sucks. it will go away eventually.

the movie babe was on last night. i love that movie, but i didn't watch it. i'd rather watch it with someone else. that movie makes me cry every time.

"that'll do, pig...that'll do...." *sniff*

i need food...
